Hey, I recently bought some parts from Zipzoomfly and had all sorts of problems.
I recieved a DOA mobo and CPU. On top of that, I didn't get replacement parts for an entire month!!! Customer service has been worthless. I was wondering if this is a common theme with them.
I had a problem with Newegg and OCZ. I purchased platinum memory in a 12G kit from them and the memory timings should have been 7-7-7-20. If you set the motherboard to those timings and then started Prime 95 you would get an instant BSOD. If you relaxed the timings to 9-9-9-24 at 1333Mhz then it would run but only at those speeds. I called Newegg up for replacements and they will do nothing but refer me to OCZ. Their support is just shy of worthless. The guy won't answer my questions about the memory being in stock, if I can get it preshipped to me (even if I supply a CC#), what the turn around time would be. AFTER I shipped the memory back to them they finally told me that it wasn't in stock and tried to get me to get the gold memory (which has worse timings and is cheaper ram). I will be calling and talking to the support persons manager and giving him some of my thoughts on his employee. I have worked in computer support for 20 yrs and never had this kind of rude service.
