Hey, this is my first time building a computer. I'm fairly tech-savvy though, and I'm mostly confident in my parts. Just posting them to see if there's anything I can improve on. I'm trying to keep the price under $1600.
APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE:Today or tomorrow. Have to take advantage of the Independence Day sale.
SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT:Gaming, internet, text processing.
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, DVD-R, Speakers, monitor, HDD
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg
PARTS PREFERENCES: Full Tower
OVERCLOCKING:Maybe, though most likely not. Not confident enough to OC.
SLI:Yes, two-way.
MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1025x768 at the moment, though I'd like reccomendations for a new monitor.
Other Comments:Cooling is important, and my greatest concerns are the case (wil it all fit?) and the power supply (does it have the right connectors?).
swap the PSU for a corsair 750tx or 850tx and the graphics cards for 4890's unless you play mirrors edge a lot.
oh and get a different mobo, that one you linked to isn't exactly the easiest to work with.
The 4890s are a fair bit more expensive than the GTX275. In my shopping cart, those 275s are showing at $170, due to a ton a rebate offers, coming out at $340 together. Also, any reccomendations on mobo?
