How to restore the default ld appreciatesettings

I should appreciate any help to restore my desktop appearance to its original XP Home Edition default setting. I have Right-clicked Desktop, clicked Properties > Themes tab. The choices do not include XP Default.

The symptom that I can describe most easily is the change in colour/color from blue to faint grey/gray. My PC skills are only basic.

When in properties, click desktop tab. There is a color drop down menu on bottom right. Click the little down arrow and chose color.
