Hi these are my final versions and I am just about to buy.

This machine is going to be used as a virtual pc host and will have WIN2K8 installed on it. Pref using Hyper V for VMCs. It will not be a gaming machine so it doesnt need any hot GPU wise.

All it needs is a decent multicore CPU and RAM.

Here are the specs I have put together. Please check to see if the parts look compatible or what could I swap out to make it cheaper.

And which one would you go for?

+1 for the i7 and better PSU...
Rather spend little more on better PSU now than taking the risk of powering those costly components with a cheap, low quality PSU...

Even the Antec EA500/ Corsair 450VX PSU is more than suffice for that setup...and they are 80+ certified and far better than some unknown brand 700W PSU...

True.

But i,m trying to save some £££ on the build.

I have a Corsair 700W in my other i7 920 PC.

What decent PSU can I put in the i7 build then without too much additional cost?

Thanks
