Hi,

I have a question about Win7 install disc and its licence.

For example if u just bought a PC, lets say its Dell, comes with Win7 Home Premium and u loose the disc or don't wan't to deal with all the crapware on it,

Can I just download fresh copy free of everything that Dell put on it and use that serial number that came with Dell?

I thing I cant use it, but maybe I am wrong.

It probably would be OEM. So whats the deal.

Thanx

you can use any Win7 Home Premium that matches the version on the sticker.

a 32-bit key will not work on a 64-bit version of Win7

I would expect the Dell license to be OEM and thus not work on a retail copy????

So, ...would expect the Dell license to be OEM and thus not work on a retail copy...What about an OEM copy?. Would it work than?

Not my case, but hypothetically...
