Hello,

I have an external monitor that is connected to my computer with a USB to VGA adapter. The model is EVGA
UV Plus USB VGA/DVI Adapter.

I am trying to make the external monitor my primary monitor but am unable to do so and have seen some literature that the video card on my computer (Mobile Intel GMA X3100) must be the primary display.

Is there a way to get the external video card to be the primary display when it is connected to my computer?

I am using XP Pro on a Dell Inspiron 1420
Video card: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family GMA X3100
USB to VGA adapter: EVGA UV Plus USB VGA/DVI Adapter

Thanks in advance,

Marshall
