I need a new heatsink (which is relatively cheap) that will bring my i7 920 tempreture down.

This is my mobo http://www.evga.com/products/moreI [...] %20Family#

does it support heatsinks that are socket 1366?

If so what is a good heatsink for this? Also the screw on heatsink that came with the processor well the screws are stuffed should I try and get it repaired? It seems a waste otherwise but if its a crummy heatsink Im probably just gonna get a new one.

Thanks for the help

Well for the thermal compound i would recommend Some Arctic Silver 5.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] c%20Silver

and i would recomend one of these 2 cpu coolers.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835103065 - $29.99

If you have the money then maybe this cpu cooler.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835103055 - $62.43 Free Shipping*

Either 1 of these should get the temps down much lower than a stock cooler.

Hope this helps.

(and yes everything im showing you'll be able to put on that motherboard.

Well it kind of has to... since you're already running one that was sold with the CPU...
