I used to use Sisoft Sandra to test systems. What is the best currently available diagnostic software to find conflicts causing occasional BSOD?

No software.

You should open up your Device Manager to look for the yellow/black exclamation mark.

Many BSOD are caused by bad memory, the PSU (varying voltages) or motherboard in that order.

It's not 100% but run Memtest overnight. I'd also try swapping out the RAM or at the very least using one stick at a time to see if only one stick causes errors.
