Budget gaming rig - what do you think?

Hi everyone,
im pretty new to building computers as this one is going to be my first. My budget is about $500 so i did a bit of research and ended up going with this.
so i was just looking to get some input from y'all like what's good and bad, and also if you know of a better deal for similar parts.
here it is..

*AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor
*EVGA 113-M2-E113 AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 730a HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
*OCZ Gold 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2G8004GK
*Western Digital Caviar SE WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive
*hec X-Power Pro 600 600W Continuous @ 40°C ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
*Tagan CS-A+Curbic Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

in total im looking at about $460 CAD for all of that but i have an EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB already so it knocks a fair bit off the price of the machine.

so what does Tom's Hardware think?

More about budget gaming think
  1. if you can afford it .. go for the p11 940be...
  2. X-power is not a psu that I am familiar with. Go cheap on the case, but not the psu. I would suggest a Corsair unit.
  3. PIJ : as much as i would freakin love to. i don't have the cash to drop on that beast.

geofelt : the PSU didn't seem too bad from the customer reviews but i'll look into the Corsair units. I do have 2 gb of ram laying around so maybe i'll nix the OCZ ram, get a better PSU and worry about more ram later
