Hey gents,

I have a problem, I have never used a Lian Li case before, but have heard of there legendary quality, I have always used Thermaltake cases, and have been happy with them.

Im my new build I don't want a large case I want something Mid Size, Standard ATX. Coming from an Armor 8000, im sick of looking at this huge, heavy eye sore.

Lian Li
The only thing im not to sure of is that this case really has no bling to it at all, i mean it looks flat and plain. Is the quality and airflow really that good, to make up for the xtremely plain case.

M9 Series Thermaltake
I have always been impressed with Thermaltake cases, and there all I have used. Im not sure about the stability of this cased after reading some of the review, and there are really no other TT cases in this size range that perk my interest.

Suggestions on Truly Quality Cases and comparisons of these are welcome, I would like to stay under $130US.

Between those two cases, i'd choose Lian Li.

The thermaltake doesn't look much better than Lian Li and Lian Li has great quality that overcomes the plainess it has.

If you have $130 for a case, you need to look at these...
Cooler Master RC-690
Cooler Master HAF922
Antec 902 (Would be my choice, specialy if you like the M9)

I use to have a M9 & it was a good case. I added a Thermaltake Icage for an extra front fan, which gave me real good cooling.

If you like the M9 at *all*, you are not a candidate for Lian-Li. The case is brushed aluminum, with tight fit and finish. If you don't appreciate that styling, that's perfectly fine, don't force it. The L-L is cool, quiet, light, and no bling, just elegant.

Other cases will deliver cool, some of those will deliver it quietly. Almost none will be cool, quiet, and light.

Look at HAF cases, or Coolermaster Storm cases as having "style" that will be more to your liking and are reasonably cool and quiet.

Well I opted for the LL. I choose the PC-7F, which has a very nice look about it. The blue fan light brings just enough bling to let ppl know that its not your ordinary rig.

Final Parts List - (Should actually be arriving today)

Asus M4A78T-E
AMD Phenom II 3.0GHz Triple Core
2x Saphire HD 4850 512MB DDR3
Crossir 750w PSU
OCZ Reaper DDR3 1600
Lian-Li PC-7F

and some randy otherstuff DVD Rom, Card Reader, HDD.....ect......

I cant wait to get it together tonight. I'll post some benchmark scores once I get everything running.

I picked up the Panzerbox from Ebay for $115 shipped. If you decide on this case... be warned, it sounds like an air conditioner in your room (keep in mind is uses two huge 190mm fans). Get a fan controller so you can spin them down when not running it hard. On a good note, if someone breaks in and is looking to steal computer equipment, they will pass it by, because it looks like a paper shredder.
