I've got a ATI 2400 Graphics card and just got a xhd3000 and I've got a problem. That I kinda solved but .... Let me break it down.

With the DVI interface while booting to a cd or a normal boot some screens of the booting process and the winxp load screen do not show but when I use the vga interface I can see every thing but when I get to windows I must lower the resolution to view the start menu so I need help

I want to use the DVI cable but I want to see every thing.

I thought I would need to update the driver in the video card but then I thougt that only windows uses that and has nothing to do with the bios so ... I'm stuck and need help thank for any input on the problem.

Welcome to the forums!

You have an expensive monitor. I suggest you get a nicer video card.

Try updating the drivers.
