Amd 64 x2 6400+ need to find the best cpu cooler

I'm buying a new motherboard and trying to figure out which cpu cooler to get.

    I have this one. Comes with TX-2 thermal paste making it a great value and it gets the job done. Frosty Tech has had it on their top 10 list for many many moons.

    do you think it's worth spending $10 on artic silver 5 ?
  3. This review shows that there's some that perform a bit better than others. But unless you're superoverclocking, the top 1/2 of the list all perform well enough for the casual OCer. The AS5 did finish with better numbers than the included TX-2, but not by enough in my book to warrant a $9 tube of goo. See round 2 testing and the minimal difference.

    yeah the difference in paste quality was soo small that it would be a huge waste of money.
