First Time OCing a CPU Help?

Last response: in Overclocking

I recently bought an AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz Processor. My CPU cooler is a Thermaltake CLP0554 80mm Sleeve CPU Cooler. I plan on doing a small OC to maybe 3.2 or 3.3 GHz because I was told I am bottlenecking my CPU with my Radeon HD 6950. I just don't know how because a 945 has locked multipliers. How do I OC a 945? By the way, my motherboard is this:

Go into the bios, if the bios you can not change the FSB, HTlink, NB volts, it means you can not use this motherboard to overclock or locked

better use of overclockable motherboard like gigabyte, Asus, Asrock, biostar etc.

IF (it's a big one) you have a shot, it will be with AMD Overdrive.

And your PhII 945 is not really holding your HD6950 back. An over-clock of the CPU will push your frames higher, but your frame-rate, I suspect, is already quite high, anyway.
