Gateway 400SD4 CMOS Battery Replacement

I need to replace the CR2032 battery in my Laptop, but cannot figure out how to open the laptop completely, nor where the battery is located.

I wasn't able to find a 400DS4, but I was able to find a 400SD4.
So on the off chance that you misspelled the model number, here is what I found.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I did make a typo in the subject heading. I am aware of this tutorial, but did not know if removing the drive was necessary to access the CMOS battery. I have not been able to find a diagram that points out the location of the battery, and did not want to disassemble more than I needed in order to replace this battery.

From what I've read elsewhere, the battery can usually be found under the keyboard, possibly in a small compartment.

But once you get the system opened up according to the diagram, you should hopefully be able to see where the battery is, or at least the compartment.

Still no luck. I've been under the keyboard, removed the DVD ROM drive, but still cannot locate the battery. The CR2032 is about the size of a nickel, so it cannot be hidden very easily.

If you're handy enough, you may be able to do this without cutting a hole in the bottom of your laptop seeing as you already have it open.
