I just received my new PSU that has +12V@52a and i started to install all my components including my gtx 260 overclocked. I hooked everything up and everything seemed to be working... except the video card. I don't get a signal from it and the fan doesn't spin. I can't boot without it because my mobo doesn't have graphics. Is there anything i can do to test the video card? is it doa?

all other components in the case are getting power, my last PSU was doa, i don't get any beeps from my mobo. The card just doesn't seem to be getting power. The fan will not spin when i turn the computer on and i do not receive a signal from the video card.

this is a brand new build. I havent been able to test the video card with any other computers or components. I haven't been able to post yet, but the operating system will be windows 7 rc

this is when its handy to have old parts laying around. if you had a 2nd video card you could just plug it in there to test if the whole system is working without the gtx260.

at this point, im thinking videocard or mobo.

dumb question: have you plugged the 6pin 12volt cables into the gtx260? ^^

yes, i have both 6pin 12volt cables into the card. Just no response from the card when i power on. No fan, no signal, nothing...

i don't have any old cards to test with sadly.

i removed one stick and still nothing... now i'm pretty sure that the card is receiving power because it very hot to the touch after leaving it on for awhile, but still no signal or fan.

I don't know if this is an issue but i am using my Samsung TV as a monitor, but it supports that feature.

I have the same problem also. I have an asus p6t deluxe v2 mobo and evga gtx 260. I already rma'd both my mobo and video card though and I still get the same problem. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what part is defective but its really frustrating.
