OCZ has the better name, but I know they have some bad(ish) PSUs. Have you looked online for reviews? Not from newegg, but real sites like HardOCP and Jonnyguru.

I did look for reviews. didnt find many, maybe 2. Lets say the reviews didnt really praise it out of the ordinary but also didnt say it bad. If the OCZ one is not that better from the hec in a way to justify the price differences then ill stick with the HEC

Probably a safe bet. Hec isn't bad, but isn't well known over here in the USA. OCZ used to be one of the best, but they have been using FSP and other units that aren't as good. If the two are close in price you might also want to look at warranty or connectors.

OCZ is always safe, is the HEC 80 certified?

What is your price range for PSU, and where are you buying these PSUs from?

I dont live in the USA.

Would the Corsair VX450W be enough for my system even if i wanna open the 4th core?

Reply to mazinyo

Well i decided to get the corsair 450VX

I have 2 important questions though:

1. Wiil it be enough to hold this system in a good way even under load? and if i decide to open the 4th core?

2. If i will decide to upgrade a GPU in the future, is there a chance the corsair wont be enough?

this is the rig:

AMD Phenom 2 X3 720 Black Edition Triple Core AM3 Tray

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 CPU COOLER

Gigabyte MA-770-UD3 Rev2 AMD770 CHIPSET

OCZ 4GB Kit DDR2 800Mhz Value

WD 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Sata2 AAKS WD5000AAKS

LG GH22NS30 SATA x 22 Black

ANTEC Three Hundred 300

GigaByte ATI Radeon 4850 512mb GDDR3 HDMI Zalman

1. It will be enough for that system even if you unlock the 4th core and overclock it.

2. If you upgrade in the future to a 5850 or a 5770 it will be enough.
