How is this CPUs performance? Would it be able to handle modern games (batman, crysis, cod etc) with ease or would it choke a bit?

I'd be using it with an ATI Radeon HD4850 1gb graphics card, and 4GB of RAM.

You can spend alot more for the last 5% performance gain; most of us are on a budget. The 805 is pretty good; frys had them closeout for $79.99 a few days ago.
