(I posted this at New System Build section but no one is answering and it fits here anyway)
I have the following
MSI 790FX-GD70
Phenom II X4 Black Edition 965, 3400 MHz (17 x 200)
2x Kingston DDR3-1333 DDR3 rated 1.65
Sapphire 5850
W7 64bit
VISA 3945789383kidding
All of my drivers and have been updated including my BIOS
My PC runs ok with regular use but I hear clicks when I run demanding games. I installed HD 4870 to see if it was the video card, it ran fine. But my 5850 ran super without clicks on another computer with lower specs. I know my motherboard is supposed to have rams rated at 1.5v, so I though maybe this would fix it?
I also tried running TRIXX but my monitor turns black and one of my fan goes at 100%, I hear some clicking noise as soon as I run it. Same thing happened when I started playing games at max settings. I have been using this computer with adobe apps and to browse the net, no problem.
And when I try to allow my mobo to auto overclock, nothing is displayed on my monitor during and after boot. So I am guessing it's a compatibility issue with the rams and the mobo. What do you think?
