Lost sound on pc windows xp a driver service) for this device has been disabled

My GeForce 7300GS video card was freezing up so I replaced it with a Radeon HD3650 card. Now I have no sound. I went back to the GeForce card and the Microsoft WinMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver says "A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32).

The system sounds are greyed out and the speaker icon is missing from my SysTray.

How can I get it back?

Run services.msc - Scroll down list and make sure Windows Audio is started.
  2. I tried stopping and restarting the Audio Service. I also un-installed and re-installed the drivers with no luck. Finally, I re-loaded the computer from scratch and got it back.
