Need drive for maxtor 3200 ext hard drive

I too am looking for a driver for the USB MAXTOR 3200 for WIN 7..The drive operates fine on WIN XP but gets the ole error code 10 ...Searching comes up with a bunch of programs from googlw that want me to purchase them to fix all kinds of stuff

It did not work at first but I changed the USB cable & aso unpowered teh DRive VIOLA it was then recognised...
