I have been given the task of building a new family home computer for use with word processing, photo editing (ocassional) and gaming (my brother is nine years old, but now and in the future he will be playing games). Due to there not being anyone tech-savvy besides myself (I am leaving soon) this computer needs to work well for a good few years to come without being upgraded. Also it had to be fairly inexpensive.
