i have an 3.00 ghz processor pentium 4 can you tell me the compatibility of motherboard with this processor. earlier i have 865 intel original motherboard

Do you have the specifi motherboard number ? some 865 based mobos are able to run the earlier Core 2 cpus

What socket is the P4? Socket 478 or Socket 775?

If it is a socket 478 the board will be a lower end board... Most newer boards are socket 775 or Socket 1366 & 1156
