SSD INSTALATION

Hi,
I have just bought a SSD OCZ vertex2 60GB.I have an existing 500GB HDD
please tell me how to set it up.
I want to load windows in SSD

mobo GA-P55-US3L

First down load Intels Latest RST drivers, you need the "F6" ahci driver and putting it on a thumbdrive.
I would recommend disconnecting your 500 GB HDD. Connect your SSD.
In bios verify that HDD is set to AHCI.
Select Custom instal, on page asking where to instal, check the box for additional drivers (lower left side). Complete win 7 installation (Will ask for F6 Driver and you will broose to thumbdrive).

After windows installation is complete. Power down, reconnect old HDD. In bios verify boot drive is set to SSD.

Added. You can boot to your old HDD by hitting F12 during Post. Once you are satisfied that your SSD is working fine, you can then reformat your HDD to get rid of operating system - NOTE if you have put YOUR files on OLD "C" drive (will be listed as D drive or drive letter after DVD drive), then back these files up before reformating
