i just bought GA-MA78LM-S2 with AMD athlon x3. i connected the 24pin power supply and 12v lines from 700w ps (tried with 430w ps as well) . i see cpu fan spinning. but no beeps nothing. i installed one stick of 2G patriot DDR2 800 mem. nothing else is installed. i don't see anything on video. what could be wrong? thanks
except the case, everything is brand new. i connected my monitor to vga port on mb.
i didn't connect keyboard or mouse or harddisk or cddrive. its bare system and i can't get any video out. in default config does video come on both vga/dvi-d outputs or only on one of them? this is really puzzling.
how do i isolate the issue? if i can prove that mobo is bad, maybe i can ask frys to replace it.
