all my shortcuts and program files are missing i cant get to anything
and i have a whole bunch of windows popping up saying Failed to save all the components for the file System
i cant do a system restore for some reason
can anybody help me out with this?
really need to figure it out sometime soon

Can you get into safe mode ? You could not restore, because restore was disabled, or the restore calendar showed no restore points ?

DO NOT delete any temp / tmp / temporary files !

Might very well be infected. Run your AV Scans + Malwarebytes + rootkitrevealer + tdsskiller. Do it in safe mode if necessary.

Do you have Windows CD ?

did you get a ton off error messages pop ups?
if so your files are not all gone i am experiancing the same problem right now it is a malware attack. go into my computer, C:, users, your user and right click your user name, and see the two boxes at the bottom of the screen. if they are both checked, un check them and click apply
