Well my PC model is a6319fh and my mother board model # is 5189-1080 chipset g33.Im wanting to know whats the best processor i can get for 200$ is without having to upgrade anything else?Any help welcomed

i have a dual core pentium e2180 ghz and i wanna play games.I have a nvidia 9500 512 mb ddr2 with a 300 watt power supply.I wanna play games without lag with a socket 775

You need a better video card before you buy a better cpu. I think an AMD 4770 for around $110 would do wonders here.

Are you sure the CPU is your performance issue? Quick test is to put the graphics settings down to the lowest possible quality and resolution - if you have performance issues then you are CPU limited. If you only get performance issues when you up the graphics settings to a higher resolution etc then you are GPU (graphics) limited.

No. I disagree. A 4770 should work with the Dell original power supply. Yes, this adds stress to the system, but should work just fine.

i was going to sell my graphics card after i got a new processor and get a 4770.i already have 4 gigs of ddr2 ram.
