Hello! I'm new here and this is my first post in this community. I was just wondering if you can give me an advice on what to get...
I'm thinking of the 4670 512 HIS ICEQ or the Palit 9800gt 512 or Palit 9600gt 512. I'm thinking of what would last long(for 5 years maybe) considering the temperature and the power consumption. Here is my other components:

GIGABYTE MA78GM-US2h
AMD Phenom X3 8650 @ 2.3
(2x) 2 GB of PC800 Kingston
19" Monitor @ 1440x900
Zeno P-4 600w PSU(comes with the case)

Here is the price here in the PHIL
4670 - P 4500.00 (around $100)
9600 - P 3750.00 (around $85)
9800 - P 4550.00 (around $100)

Of course it's obvious that i must go with the 9800gt but i was wondering would it be okay with my Zeno 600w and would it last longer on than the other? :D

I was planning to play Crysis on a 1440*900 resu and eventually if it can run crysis on high does it mean i can run any games i like?

Thanks in advance.

It wont run Crysis on high even if you DID have a fast enough cpu.

Any of those cards will be hindered by your slow cpu speed. You should consider a cpu upgrade.

Not to mention a Zeno power supply? Never heard of it, it's likely garbage.

Newegg has a much faster HD4850 for $79 after $20 rebate ( i realized your not in USA). However, like I said, you'll never see its true potential with that cpu.

Thanks for the reply... really appreciate it, Zeno PSU comes with the ATX Casing that i bought :( . I would like to stick with my cpu because its the only one i can afford^^but i'll try to save some cash for an upgrade but for now. What do you GPU you recommend for me?

Well if your upgrading in the future, you might as well buy the best video card you can now.
How much more is a 4850 than the choices you listed? What about 4830, its equal to a 9800GT.
The best of your choices is the 9800GT, but its a dated card thats been around for a couple years as the 8800GT, its just been renamed 9800GT.

4850 is like $40 more in here and if i bought myself a 9800gt, can i run it on my 600w PSU? my psu has no 6-pin connector and has only 2 connectors(the white ones with 4 plugs, what do you call those?) which goes to my casing fan and my dvd.

If it can, then i'll definitely go with 9800gt^^

Even a crappy 600w could probably power any of those cards but if it has no 6-pin connector and only two 4-pins that are already in use then you can only use the HD4670.
There are adapters that can turn two 4-pins into a 6-pin but I guess you can't use one. Are you sure there's only two 4-pin power connectors on your PSU? That seems really low.

Yeah i have only 2 four pins going to my casing fan. is their any possibility i can add additional 3 4-pin molex in my PSU?

Reply to _cYx

Seriously.........
Buy a new PSU.
You will hurt your rig with that PSU.

Yeah, either replace the PSU or get an HD4670. That's all you can do.

Thanks everyone. I guess i have to save money for a PSU then i will get myself and 9800gt or maybe 9800gtx(whats the difference). I'll just have to use my 780g for now and play Warcraft DOTA then for the time being and maybe after 6 months prices will go low and i'll have my chance. Thanks everyone.

Your psu will be fine for a 9800GT.

Reply to zipzoomflyhigh

That's good new... but i have only 2 4-pin connector. So is their any product that i can buy to add another 3 4-pin connector?

Reply to _cYx

Hey you want your rig to last 5 years or more so you have to think.
The capacitors in the PSU lose their efficiency with age.
That PSU won't last for that long a period of time.

If you don't want to change PSU now then its okay. But change it as soon as possible.

Yeah im going to save money and after im gonna buy a decent one. IS trendsonic a nice brand for PSU?

The OP's CPU would be fine if he OCs it

ATI 4670 < 9600GT < 9800GT

------------------------------ i7 920, E5300
GTX260, HD4870, HD4830

Absolutely not. I've been in computer hardware since 97 and I've never heard of trendsonic.

A quality 500-600w Antec, corsair, PC power and cooling, OCZ, seasonic, fsp, etc. They all come with 3-5 year warranties. You get what you pay for.
Get on Neweggs email list and check out their daily deals. They have good deals all the time.
