Running multiple desktop pics

hi i was wondering if there was any sort of software like the nvidia suite but will work with all types of cards. the reason im asking is because i had a extra radeon card laying around as well as a spare lcd monitor, so i but them in my machine and now im running three monitors on an nvidia and ati card. the problem is that the spare one is running 1024x768 (17" ) and the others are 1920x1080 (23" ) and no backgrounds look right. i want to be able to put separate backgrounds on each monitor and do the other cool effects that the ati and nvidia software can do; like make window transparent when dragging.
