Hey guys, im new to the forums, so please dont criticize me if i put this in the wrong section. My question is that im doing my first build and im getting a EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216, and i need to choose a PSU, i have 2 in mind but im looking for a good one that'll power my system and the card. Also im probably not gonna play any games, i will most likely do video editing, so if you have any other video cards, please suggest them.

The GTX 260 Core 216 has these requirements:

Minimum of a 500 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amp Amps.)
Two available 6-pin Molex hard drive power dongles

The 2 PSU's i had in mind are:

I will also appreciate other suggestions..

My setup is:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz
G Skill 2 x 2 GB
Asus P5Q-E
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB HDD
GTX 260 Core 216
(PSU)?

The Corsair is a fine choice ( for a single card you could go with the 550 ), nix the idea of the Rosewill.

Thanks DellUser1, do you have any 550W PSU's in mind?

I prefer the Corsair, but that's just a personal preference.

Go rosewill and save your money. im using a 4850 on this crapload of a psu: http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm106/BruceOTB/DSCN8049.jpg

...and it's working just fine for 6 months now. I bet rosewill's are better than this psu, far better.

i think the gtx 260 needs 19amps on the 12 volt rail.

Im not sure about the rosewill, even though it is cheaper, im not sure if its gonna work or break on me. The OCZ is cheap with the rebate and it looks good. Im also looking at the Corsair, but im not sure which one to get.

the OCZ is good, some moths ago I run a GTX260 with a thermaltake 500W and don't show problems
