i am trying to install windows 7 on a gigabyte GA-k8ns ultra-939 motherboard and when it asks for the location in which i will install the OS it wont show any hard drives at all. i have 2 500gb hard drive as where one has xp64 bit installed on it. is it that the SATA controller doesnt or isnt windows 7 64 bit compatible? ive tried on both 32 and 64 bit versions. is there a bios update for windows 7 for this chipset or am i wasting my time?

Latest BIOS available here:

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=1839&ProductName=GA-K8NS%20Ultra-939

I successfully installed win7 32 and 64 on ver F2 of BIOS on a single SATA drive without any additional drivers needed at time of install. Running 4gb ram, though MB supports it, its only showing 3.5.

64bit Final realease is not stable. Cannot install many updates, causing BSOD.
Looking at getting a newer 939 MB.

I can verify the ABIT K8 ultra (939 MB) works well with win7x64 with 4gb ram (4gb showing too)
