I've been having a off and on problem with my computer. Sometimes the screen will go blank and after rebooting it will boot up but then there is no signal coming from the graphics card.
I can boot into safe mode and despite using system restore I can't boot into windows normally.
What I have resorted to doing is removing all the ATI catalyst drivers and reinstalling them and that does the trick but I have already done this 3 times this year and it's a major pain when it happens.

I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue since safe mode works fine, perhaps there is no solution since the X1950 is no longer supported by newer catalyst versions but I was wondering if anyone here has had similar problems with ATI cards?

Here are my specs.

AMD X2 BE2350
Asus m2a-vm 690G
2GB DDR2
ATI X1950pro
Antec EarthPower 380 watt PSU
Win XP
19inch wide LCD (DVI)

It has happened to me too unfortunately but I am not aware of any solution or the exact cause.
