I put windowsxp cd but will not showing any message

WHILE FORMATTING I INSERT WINDOWS XP CD AND THEN RESTART BUT IT IS NOT SHOWING ANY MESSAGE AND ALSO BLUE SCREEN IS DISPLAYSO WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You did not see a "hit any key to boot off CD" message? Go into the BIOS setup and make sure the CD drive is listed in the boot to options. You can also hit the boot menu key during startup and select it manually. Could also mean that the CD is bad, check if it's scratched/smudged, maybe try in another PC.

try with other cd, also check that cd-rom is selected as first boot device, check the connection of Harddisc with motherboard and power cable.
