Enigmavoice.....

Hi
I have a motherboard
1. ASUS P4G41 TMLX motherboard with
Intel Q9300 Quad core processosor with
4 GB corsair and
FastTrak S150 TX2plus RAID card

My brother gave me a system

2. Dell xps 720 motherboard with
IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® D Processor 940 3.2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB
8 GH Ram with
2 WD RAPTOR 1600ADFS (160GB ) 10kRPM.

Now I want to know that which mother board and processosor or combinition will be best for faster RAID speed
I want to use 2 RAPTOR IN RAID O.According to my knowledge ASUS P4G41 TMLX motherboard is DDR3 with 1333 bus speed where as dell 800FSB

So what combination will be best for speed and performance with RAID 0

Im not sure what you are asking.
Throw the XPS mb in the trash. Keep the Raptors and put them in the Q9300 system

I would go with the asus faster MB, but honestly they will probably make 0 difference as far as the hdd goes

oxxfatelostxxo, right about that! There won't be much of different...

FastTrak S150 TX2plus RAID card is a PCI bus, which max out 133MB/sec (in theory) and it's a SATA1 (1.5GB), therefore all of NCQ, FIFO and goody feature of SATAII are not there...

Don't get me wrong, it's still use-able, but do not expect things will flying fast :-)
