Cannot view Mapped Drive's contents

I am pulling my hair out with this one. I have a VPN User that can access the network drive with \\IP\Folder, but cannot access it with \\ServerName1\Folder. I have looked at NetBios, Registry fix for DHCP NodeType, checked DNS. Also to note, the user can access \\ServerName1\UserFolder and \\ServerName2\Folder just fine, it is just everything else in \\ServerName1, except for his user folder. Help!

More about cannot view mapped drive contents
  1. To also note, I have checked permissions on each folder and sub-folder and compared, but everything is identical.

    So, in summary:
    Can Access
    \\IP of ServerName1\ALL Contents
    \\ServerName2\ALL Contents

    Cannot Access:
\\Servername1\All other Folders and Printers besides the user's UserFolder
  2. I do hope you have the entire drive shared, if not, user will only go where sharing is enabled.
  3. Thanks for the response. But sharing is enabled, due to the fact that the user can visit \\IP\Folder and had previous access before. I believe it is not a matter of permissions, it is a matter of DNS.

But not sure where to look.
