Core 1 core 2 temp difference

hi guys
I have a core 2 duo E7200 which is overclocked to 3.6GHz for daily use
every thing was fine till now it has been an year I am running it at the clock speed but today i just fired up my HWmonitor to see the temp status after around a week I noticed that my first core temprature always stays around 8c above my second core

at idle and load this core stays around 8c above the other one. I tried resetting the cooler but no use
is it that the thermal paste is not evenly spread ? but then it should be showing this problem from the very begining
I am really confused now
below is my system specs:
Core 2 duo E7200 @ 3.6GHz
5GB G-skill ram
2 TB hdd
MSI p43T-C51 mobo
Zalman CNPS 9500A cooler
HAF 912 Advanced cabinet
Palit GTS 250 1GB
Tagan TG500-U37 PSU

Very normal for cores to have different temps.

But then why am I seeing it now? why it wasn't there before? that is why I am confused
