I am completely clueless when it comes to these things so forgive my ignorance.

I have 2 PCI-e GPU slots on my Mboard. If I place a GTX260 into the primary slot and connect it to a monitor and place a 7600GT in the secondary slot and connect it to a second monitor ... will that work?, i.e. could I play a game on the primary setup with say the desktop still available on the second setup?

hook up both monitors to your GTX 260

then run display wizard in ntune

you will have the set up you want
