I got amd p2 955 BE (already bought)
Asus m4a78-em(bought)
2X2 DDR 2 800MHZ transcend rams(BOUGHT)
HDD WD 160GB HDD SATA (soon going to add one more HDD OF 500GB)
1x DVD rw
SMPS/PSU Crosair 550VX


Now my question is that i am soon going to change gpu I have desided

EVGA GTX 260 c216 or Saphire HD 4890 OR Saphire HD 4870 1G toxic edtion

So tell me the best performer from these 3 and also is my psu is enough powerful for these gpu's?If not i cant change my gpu so tell me a cheaper GPU

PSU has a single 12v rail with 41 amperes on it, you're golden there.

The 4890 is the best out of those cards, catch is in november the Radeon 58xx line is slated to come out. I'd breeze through the various manufacturer websites and see if anyone's started to offer a "step up" program on the ati side.

The 58xx line is 75-125% faster on paper than the comperable 4850/4870 cards and has dx11 support.

^ Waiting for the 5XXX series is a good option if you are not in a hurry to buy a graphics card...
Mabye you can get the HD 4850 for now, save some cash and then when the DirectX 11 cards come out, get them...The HD 4850 can handle most of the current games @ that resolution but not at very high settings though...

And as for GTX 275/ HD 4890, get whichever is cheaper...Both have similar performance...
