Ok, so I was just wondering which is better for gaming

there will be little difference gaming wise, except you can add a second 4870 onto the AMD build.

The AMD build also gives you the potential to upgrade the processor in the future, the AM3 socket will likely be supported for a couple of years atleast while the LGA775 socket is now dead.

Why are you spending the money on the 750 watt power supply for the AMD build when you dont need any more than 600 watts even for 2 4870's in crossfire

What do you mean the difference pricewise? You havent told us how much each of them come out to.

2 4870's and 600W is a close call, I rather be on the save side

$20 is the price difference between the two, and AMD only recommends 600 watts for 2 4870 so the corsair 650 watt PSU is strong enough.

I quess your right about the PSU but I dont really plan on getting another 4870, might get a better card and crossfire that

I havent really listed a price for the two puilds but the AMD build comes out to roughly 610 pounds

With a overclocked q6600 @3.6,3 hdd,4 gigs ram,2x 4870's and a water loop i could load my system up to 640 watts at the wall,so - 20% from that for lost power from efficency and its drawing 512 watts from the psu. Way to close to 600 for comfort,you'd be shortening the life of your psu by going with a 600.

Price it out, decide on which processor you want to go with, post a real budget and we will go from there, it is futile to speculate on what you should or shouldnt go with without knowing what budget we are working within and what resolution monitor it needs to run.

And like Hunter said,why buy into a dead end platform,between those 2 choices go with the amd one. Unless you want to spend more then step up to a i7 if you can use it.

With that AMD build you get DDR3 instead of DDR, a WD HDD, which is in my opinion better than Seagate, a superior 790FX mobo, which is way better than P43, and the ability to upgrade your processor in the future.
