do you have the 285's already? if not, do what everyone else is talking about. Wait till DX11 cards :eek:/ specially if you are gonna fork out that much money.

Is this for a new build? If so I would advise you to get a 'placeholder' card such as a GTX275 or HD4890 and wait for the DX 11 cards to come out.
If you must spend this much money at this time I'd go for the dual GTX285s', they'll scale better and be easier to manage.

285's are a better idea if you are going to be overclocking and the like, even if you wont be.

That being said, this is a lot of money to be spending on something that may very well be obolete when dx11 comes out, might want to reconsider if now is the best time to drop a grand on gpu's.

Hah daed! the money he was spending was my concern as well! I have 2 280's not in use till i build a new rig. I was actually thinking of selling them. I did get both of them for cheaper than listed. :pt1cable: But like a lot of the threads say when talking about DX11, that it will not be usefull for another few years depending on dev's.

i havent bought them yet... going to buy em pretty soon...

waiting for dx11 kinda sounds lame for me... then i might have to wait for something like dx 11.1 then dx 12 n ill keep waiting... i can sell them if the dx11 comes that soon not a problem... few years back when i thought upgrading i was told wait for dx10 when vista n dx10 were out there were not as much games as dx9 lol...

and i might end up using my pc for rendering more than gaming...
i know everyone wants that i should save the money... but really.. it would be more of a headache to sell 275 card over 285's or 295's...

Thanx for the reply tho :)
