Thanks to anyone willing to take time to answer a question I`m kind of embarassed to ask. I`m installing a new motherboard and I`m one spacer short I have 8 spacers in the case. Will it hurt to install the mb with 1 spacer and motherboard screw missing?

Not to worry. Leave out the spacer where there is the least chance of the motherboard bending.
