Windows 7 doesnt recognize WD Sata Drive

hey everyone. just a a few questions in regards to sata drives. I have two sata HD's inside my new machine I just built. I have a WD Cavier Black Sata 6g 32mb cache 500g 7200rpm and a Samsung Spinpoint Sata 3g F2 1 tb 7200rpm 32 mb cache. I installed Windows 7 on the Samsung and that shows up fine under Hard Drives, but when I get into windows 7 it does not recognize the WD 500g??? I have the new Asus H67 M Evo with the new updated BIOS. Im really confused on what to do since this is my first time using windows. NEED HELP ASAP!!!

is the WD recognized in your BIOS?

can you see the WD in the Disk Manager of Windows?

yea I see it in the BIOS and in Device Manager

in the Disk Manager does it have a drive letter assigned?

if not you might have to partition, and format it here in the Disk Manager

how to I partition the disk? its cavier black 6 g so want to make sure this thing is running.
