The HD4850 is NOT worth the money because you pay 100$ and you get 0 performance but with the ASUS MARS GTX295 it is worth the money because you pay 1000$ and you get some performance.

oh i am sorry for trying to use my money wisely, i also have to pay 50k(well more like 20k after scholarships and stuff) a year for college... i wouldn't like to take out another loan just for a videocard

Thanks for the heads up concerning the 4850, but for a few more 'troll' money, a 4870 can be obtained.

I just got a HIS Radeon HD 4870 1GB Ice Q4 in the mail today:

For $165 shipped I'm VERY happy with it. In the Catalyst Control Center, I have the clock sliders MAXED at 790/1100 and my temps have yet to break 70 degrees under load with fan speed set manually to just 40%, which is pretty quiet. Worth every penny.
