hey guys. I am building a new PC for the purposes of gaming mainly. I have some of the parts and I am going to run all of the parts I am thinking about by you to see what you think. Constructive criticism and advice is greatly appreciated thanks!

Spend the extra $100 or so and get an Core i7 build. You already picked a triple channel memory which is good. Get the Core i7 920 D0 Stepping with EVGA X58 SLI LE.

You don't need a 1000w PSU for a GTX275, even in SLI. Switch the PSU to a Corsair 850TX to give you some room. You could most likely get away with a 750w but I like to give myself some room on PSU.

The onboard sound will work just fine for gaming. You really don't need a stand alone sound card. For a heatsink, I'm a fan of the Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283V. :D
