what's the different between server RAM and normal RAM ?

RAM in a server often has error detection and correction circuitry (ECC). It may also be "buffered", as in FB-DIMM, particularly with Xeon processors. Google will have more info.

In other terms:
Server RAM prioritized as a memory with higher reliability, while desktop RAM prioritized to speed or price mostly.
