Hey guys,

Can tell me what I need to have and know when I call the local Telco...

Lets say they own the router and can not provide you with a password...they will do the setup...

so far

- have them set up a Fa 0/1 to a private IP 192.168.1.1 (inside IP)
- Get the DNS Servers info
- get the external IP Addy

What else do I need to know or have them do if the router is managed by them.

Thank You for helping out :)

What you do with the network after it leaves their router is up to you.
What you said is really all they need to do. Provide you with the external IP for access from the internet. A DNS entry for name to IP resolution, if you really need it. Provide an inside IP for access to the internet from within your network.
