my understanding is that 3008wfp has a scaler built in to the monitor which allows it to have multiple input options, with the downside that it has a significant input delay.

3007wfp-hc does NOT have a scaler (so uses the graphics card scaler), thus it can only support few resolutions such as the native 2560x1600 and something low 1280x800 maybe.

I am looking at the 30'' monitor market and i'm down to these two monitors. I can see the pros an cons for each but my question is...

When used with the desktop at the native resolution, will 3008wfp still use the scaler for some reason and lead to an input lag? or does this input lag only occur when you use consoles and such? Can this monitor scaler be disabled so that you can use the scaler from the graphics card and remove the input lag?

I'm tempted to buy the 3008wfp but i don't know if there's a workaround to fix this input delay. I am mainly gonna use this display for my desktop but I just wanted to have the option of connecting consoles for the future...

If there is none, I suppose I will go with the 3007wfp-hc. I don't have a profound knowledge in this so I just wanted to know if public knew anything about the issue. Thanks in advance!
