I recently bought a LSI 9260-8i
It has a 16 pin connector for individual drive faults. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a connector for this type of connection, or if ppl just individually connect seperate leds to each set.

The connector is labeled as JT12 in the card diagram in case any of you look at it.

Thanks for your time.

What you got is SAS raid controller

It has TWO SFF-8087 connectors, which has side-band connection for direct connect to SAS/SATA back plane. It does more than just connect to SAS/SATA drives

Use this cable for back-plane connection

SFF-8087 to SFF-8087

If you do not have backplane, but individual SAS/SATA drive then use this

SFF-8087 to SAS/SATA cable

Hope this help

I understand that part. And I am using sata drives. I wanted to know if there was anyway to use the hdd failure light connector in a desktop environment. It's a 16 pin connector.

I would contact LSI support as they would be able to better help you there.
