Of the two PSU's listed, Corsair.

is there one better than the two at that price range?

This one is $10 cheaper and has free shipping. I have this one. Only complaint is that the ribbons ( cables ) are a little stiff. Works great.

Ive got the 750W single rail corsair, and its pretty damn good.

Ive managed to lower my CPU voltage from my 650W near-no name brand psu, as this one only drops 0.02v under load.

Always go for a brand name PSU. A bad one can die more easily taking pretty much every component with it.

600W is sufficient for 2x HD5850 at stock frequency in CF, so a Corsair HX620 or HX750 is more than enough.

HX620 Max Overload with it still being within spec : 746W output @115V outlet

HX750 Max Overload with it still being within spec : 912.9W output @115V outlet

The efficiency is even better with 220V outlet!

Yes. Corsairs are pretty conservatively rated. you can pull about 15% - 20% more than rated power across the whole line of PSU's and still stay in spec.

I have a TX750. Anyone else could legitimately call it a 900 watt PSU. And it is rated for full output power at 50 C.

I am going to pretty much be doing the same, starting with one 5850 then adding another in the future.

Does anyone know if this PSU is sufficent to support 2 5850:

COOLER MASTER Silent Pro 600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817171036
Its modular, single rail and has 40 amps

At first I was going to get the CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W because it had 60amps, but it is not as silent as the cool master nor is it modular. So its my second choice if the cool master doesnt fit my needs.

EDIT: Nevermind.. It wont work for 2.. found an great website with the info about the 5850 power requirements layed out better than AMD explained it.. That Corsair is perfect for 2 card since it has 4 6pin connectors(the +2 just means it can be an 8 connector), has enough amps and watts... :)

Just in case someone else needed this info, heres is the web site:
