Hello,
What is the best all around performing SSD available under $150

I don't think any SSD on the market right now fully saturates SATA II?

Yeah and 2 + 2 = 5 for large values of 2. :p 

An infrequent operation does not count as saturating the channel.

considering that much of an OS volumes data is very easily compressed, I'd hardly call it "infrequent". This is where Sandforce controllers regain much of what is lost with incompressible data.
