HI

I have a sapphire radeon hd 3850 512mb agp card . I have a asus p5p800 motherboard. In the bios at the
agp aperture settings the maximum is 256mb . I was just wondering because this is a 512 mb graphics card ??

There is no 512 mb setting in the aperture size.

Can this slow down the card ??

Any help will be appreciated

Thank You

I have the same card and an Intel D865PERL motherboeard with 4 GB RAM. I asked Sapphire and they told me I should set the aperture to 256 MB 'at least".

I am doing HD video editingand my findings are as follows:

Aperture Size at 64 MB ge=ives me no motion whatsoever in editing HD clips with Video Studio 12 X
128 MB lets me see the clip at 98% speed
156 MB is just as bad as 64 MD

So I will keep mine at 128 MB
